A test conducted my Mustang Enthusiast magazine showed that Magnaflows offerd the best hp gains, adveraged about 13 rwhp with the cats, and 18 rwhp with the jba headers, and magnaflow x pipe with cats, done on a 2004 GT. Hope this helps a little.

Thank y'all for your input. It has really helped. I do think I'm going to go with /\ his advise. Again..thanks

As in you will be getting the magnaflow? You won't like it unless you have an o/r midpipe.

Agreed. I have magnaflow on my car now.. Definitely not even close to loud enough for me. My next move is full exhaust with LM1's, because I love sound. But Matt is right, if you like sound, w/o an aftermarket midpipe and maybe even some headers, you're not going to like the loudness of flows. I love the way magnaflows sound, those would be my choice if I wasn't a noise freak (hense thats why Im going with the LM1's ) - But if you want a good sound level, just a flow catback won't cut it.

Just get a O/R midpipe to get a nice sound out of them. Flows are a great sounding muffler but lack sound w/o a pipe. The LM1's give nice power but if you want good sound quality stick with a muffler and get a O/R pipe. The LM1's are a mean sounding cat-back but just my personal preference, I'd stick w/ a muffler.

Apparantly We have some noise pollution laws in NC, b/c my friend with JBA Headers/mac or/ x and slp lm 1s got a noise ordanace ticket, at 3 in the afternoon! I swear the cops these days, so if you want a decent note, but not to loud, and doesn't drone, I personally have JBA Header's Steeda's hi-flo catted h-pipe and the steeda/borla catback exhaust (gee, go figure all from steeda, lol) Just check you're local laws :-p

Agreed, some punk cop pulled into the walmart parking lot (where our little car get together has permission to be) and started writing tickets on private property! And guess what it was for... He heard subs more than 3 car lengths, or they had underglow on... but it's hilarious, cause only flashing blue underglow is illegal and ONLY when driving, these people didnt even have keys in the ignition! So about 40 of us are going to court to get him fired :-p Serves him right! Hell, He tried to ticket me for "display of race intent" cause my hood was up.... We're not going to go into what I said to him... yea.. :-p

Did you look him in the face and call him retarded? Please tell me you did.

How old was this dude? WOW.

Let me know how the court thing goes, I'd love to heard of a cop getting fired for being retarded.

PS - I love how cops don't even know the laws.
