Default Have you non-pi guys seen this?

I was at the store today and pikced up a MM&FF magizine and its got a part in it about a project called Redhead step child and they are building a 1996 gt same as my car. I think it has about 200K on it though. this is the part 3 and 4 of it. i think its a low budget build i have to read more on it but they were getting good numbers from headers back, comp cams, i think a p&p on the non pi heads, and accufab and c&l plenum and throttle body. they were getting 240 rwhp and 300 rwtq, i belive they got those numbers before the P&P but i know for sure they didn't do a head swap. and all of those gains with a 200K mile car, if thats right you could probally get higher numbers with a lower mileage car. I am thinking about continuing my journey following them. beacause with those numbers they could run down a stock pi gt. I wondering if any of you guys have seen this project or been following it if you have let me know what you guys think. i just think it would be kool to get some good numbers without the swap.

Well....to do cams and a P&P....the heads are coming off anyway...and PI heads are cheap....so you are dumb if you are keeping stock heads and doing what they did.

I don't know how many times I have posted this:

Ported NPI's > PI's
Ported PI's > Ported NPI's

Those are some good #'s...But I agree, if your putting the cams in you should do the heads as well, they're coming off anyway.
