yeah i want VT bar none. I want something that will help spend my car to 6000RPMS instead of falling on its face.

Hey man, where are you from? Im from West Tn, and ive had my car on the dyno at Dynospeed. Jon and Joe are really good guys. They know alot about stangs! they will do you right. Make sure you let them put an SCT tune on your baby!

I emailed VT, and told them I really didnt wont to rev much over 6000rpms and didnt wont to change the springs if I really dont have to. They suggested the stage ones. I have a post over at modulardepot.com asking about sound clips on the stage 1s. They sound really good, But not as choppy as the stage twos.

ive thought about just going with the stage 1's and adding a nitrous kit and with the full bolt on's with those cams and 100 shot that would put me pretty close to the limit of the motor in terms of durability. How much RWHP should stage 1 cams net?

I think about 15 to 20. Thats the idea I had about the cams and nitrous. I have a shortblock with damaged pistons that came out of my car I was going to forge it and spray a 150 shot.

thats cool. I just read on another board that a guy installed the stage 1's and gain 22 RWHP WITHOUT a tune. thats pretty damn good if I say so myself.

Wow! Without a tune, that is pretty good. Cams are pretty unpredictable like that though.

As far as Walboro pumps: I have used them in 2 different cars with minimal problems. One used to keep falling off into the tank, but no fire issues. I haven't heard of anything like that either.

well the VT site claims 85 hp with the stage 2s so youd probably be seeing about closer to 40 rwhp -double the stage 1s. i would definitely get the stage 2s and skip the nitrous just on principle; your car would be so much tougher with some big bad a$$ stage 2 cams than it would be with a wimpy little baby bottle[:'(]

a stage 2 cam on a stock shortblock is not a good idea. you will only get the real benefits of it after you get way back in the rpm band. so say like like 5800-6000. and a stock 4.6 redlines at 6k. by the way if you have any stage 1 sounds clips then please send them my way cause im thinkin about goin PI and VT's stage 1 cams. thanks
