Default sohc to dohc

ok me and a buddy where setting around the other night thinking of ways to put a dohc in our gt's and got to wondering if the gt ecu would work on a dohc engine. i mean some things would have to be worked out like some kind of brakets to bolt the coil packs down and some way to adapt the wiring harness to the tb and of coarse a tune.

any way i was just wondering if any one else had thougth about this. is so what bariers did you come up with?

take it from me, buy a cobra instead. first the engine swap is a pain and can get real pricey. and second, if you need to sell you car anytime down the road, you wont see half that money back. but if you're set on doing it, good luck!

I agree with the above posts, very pricey swap and the correct computer is a must. For one thing the 2V computer has no provisions for the IMRC.
