TRANNY FOR CHARGERS
I just got my 2000 gt. I want to make 400rwhp so i'm planning to by a procharger, but i need to know some things like what are the best gears to use. Next how many psi will be safe. and i need to know some numbers like i can run through the 1/4 and 1/8 mile. Oh yeah what tires will work good too.

Try doing a search for all of that info, it has all been discused on here before many, many times. As a Noob do a search before you ask any questions, and also look at the top of this form at the stickys, they cover a lot of your basic questions that you are going to ask.

8psi is about the most you can go safely. Just get a good tune. With a very good tune you can probly push 10. But I would honestly stick no more than 8.
For gears Ford racing gears 4:10.
And for tires for the back get some nitto 555r drag radials, 315/35/17, with some deep dish rims 17x10.5
You should also look into some full length subframes, control arms, and either getting the torque boxes fully welded, or reinforced

i wouldn't go higher than 3.73s with a supercharger. but that's a personal thing........i guess it boils down to personal priorities. and how you intend to use your car most.

3.73's or 4:10's either way. or even motive 3.90's gears.
With a centrifical supercharger I will still say 4:10's. I wouldn't recommend it if its not something i would do. But honestly if you have any question go with 3.73's. you wont be disappointed either way

don't listen to nathan. get 4.10s at the LEAST. with a centrifugal supercharger, you aren't even beginning to build any boost until 3000rpm, so it's not like when you floor it with a KB that you'll spin for about 2 minutes off the line before moving. i got 3.73s with my vortech and would totally get 4.10 if i didn't have to spend $500 for new gears + install. if someone wants to pay for it for me, i'll do it.

RE: TRANNY FOR CHARGERS
i've had 4.10s and i prefer 3.73......but i also don't want the wildest car in the world.
i just wouldn't put 4.10s in my daily driver ever again......especially not one that is supercharged
so listen to nanaki listen to me listen to the voices in your head if you like.
but screw you nanaki. it's not right to say don't listen to him. my point is valid.
