RE: Exhaust deposits?
Yea same here. Its probably just dirt build up or maybe a little rust. Nothing to be overly concerned with, but yes I know it looks like crap, lol. I have the same kind of stuff on mine, probably because my previous owner didn't keep the car to clean all the time. Im putting a full exhaust on soon though, so I will have some nice new shiny tips that I WILL keep nice and shiny this time!

RE: Exhaust deposits?
Its not rust. Its some kind of build up from all that crap and fumes that comes spitting, or gusting, whichever, out of the tail pipes
i dont know about you guys, but with my stock pipes, i couldnt really see it at all, it was apparently the same color as the metal the tail pipes were made of
however after getting my stinger catback, it has 4" rolled tips, so the brown cakes up pretty quick,,
you can scrape it off, (i wouldnt use anything that is gonna scrape the stainless steel though [&:])
after getting alot of it off, you can buff it out, i use Eagle One Never Dull,,, i think that is what its called.. it works fine, then i have to do it again in a couple weeks,
i think having the uncatted midpipe makes it worse though
ive got two pictures here,, the first one is of the tips when i missed a spot you can see a bit of brown in that picture (keep in mind this completely covers all the rear facing metal before cleaning) second pic is of clean ones
