Default Throttle Position Sensor

Hey guys I have a '96 4.6L stock throttle body, the problem is my TPS went bad and when I went to replace it with another one the screw holes wont line up without partially opening the throttle blades... its almost as if the throttle shaft that goes in the middle of the blade is out of whack somehow.... is this possible? what should I do to fix it...? I have tried about 10 different TPS's from other stores and other model engines and still nothing... Thanks guys, any help is greatly appreciated.
