Default Magnaflows with high flow cats?

Right now, i have magnaflows on my gt. I really like the sound of the magnaflows, but i want them a little louder. Does anybody have magnaflows with some high flow cats? if so, let me know if u like it and if its a just a little bit louder or too loud or whatever. any different ideas on how to make it a little louder without deafening me, let me know.

I have them but with a O/R pro-chamber and love the way they sound. I am going to hopefully be putting on some BBK shortys soon too.

I dont have a 4.6L But I do have the MagnaFlows with no Cats and it sounds amazing, Its not soo loud where its anoying but its loud in the sense when you get on it it sounds awsome, It also idles really nicely good luck with it.

What size pipes you got on it? Go up to a 2 1/2" pipe all the way across and I bet you will get the sound you are looking for.

High flow cats will do nothing if you are looking for a bit more volume.

Ideas:
- H or X Pipe with a single converter on each side.
- Try welding in a different muffler Borla's will be slightly louder then the Magnaflow's.
Flowmasters would bring the volume up a bit also.

High flow cats will most certainly make a difference.

Dropping down to 2 cats, you will definitely hear a volume difference. Not as drastic as no cats, but still very noticable.

Will getting rid of two of them put my check engine light on?

The first two on the stock H-Pipe are pre-cats. you cannot replace these with high flows you can eliminate them though.

Simply replacing the other two stock converters with high flow units will not make a volume difference.

Catted Pipe vs Off Road Pipe is a completely different story.

If you cut out the first set of cats and gut the second set or put in high flow cats, it's much much louder. My friend did so on his and it's VERY loud. He's running flowmaster weld-ins out back. It's kind of weird how it got so loud since everything he's done is the "cheap way."

Thats what hes talking about,Retard of the Year. He wants to take out all the old cats and replace them with 1 hi flow on each side. Do whatever you want, but you still wont take down one of those Cobalt SS. Right Cody?
