well its true, if theres a bit of snow on the ground, my car isnt moving at all.....

i was wondering, how much differenct would 2 snow tires and about 300pounds of sand make?

would it be worth the almost grand im sure it will cost?

Try and find some ****ty old rims to put the snow tires on. and the sand bags will help a lot.

I have a 2000 mustang gt and im in illinois and we have about 10 inches on the ground and about 4 in the driveway and i tried to go to the store and it wasn't happening. I had that car for one day and I got it stuck in the snow. I am sooo glad I am moving from the north next week.

Yea, I'm just south of chicago and we got plenty of snow. I thought about spending the $1200 on snow tires and rims and sandbags. I was still afraid of getting hit and getting salt all over it. Then I found a beater honda accord for $1100, so the stang went away for the winter. I put it away right after thanksgiving and i miss it like hell too. I feel a lot better about putting it away after watching my brother try to get up our driveway in his '04 GTO in the snow.

amen all! I have a 1997 5 speed GT, and I live in northern IL (downers grove) and yeah that last heavy snowfall was beautiful, i hit a curb. Lucky this summer I'm buying new rims anyway.... GAY!!!!!

I guess a few cinder blocks would help too? Come summertime i'm gonna plan on buying a beater 4x4 truck...

Peace all

I live in southern illinois and i had to park my car. the clincher was when I slid off the road and got my car stuck in my parent's yard. Luckily I have another car but I need to find a place to store her for the winter.

i had 4 snow tires mounted on black steel rims and i never used them. i just sold them for $100 bucks when they were worth alot more that but oh well. they make somewhat of a differance but you will definitely need weight in the back otherwise those tires will just continue to spin and you will go sideways. with my 4.10 gears i figured it would be no good plus i don't like my car being in the snow anyways so i got rid of them to a guy at my dads work that hooks me up with free computers etc.
