People can add aftermarket mods to a saleen. (like a KB supercharger upgrade)... It's not unheard of. It's usally worth a bit more unmolested with close to 0 miles but in certain cases like this one, the work done to it is very expensive and makes it into a whole other car on the road.

Just put a saleen kit and wheels on a cobra. There's quite a few ppl that have done that. It doesn't add value to the car.

In 2003 Saleen made 6 cobra coupes, and 5 cobra verts. The Saleen cobra is a full Saleen package (wheel and tire upgrade, exhaust, suspension, ground effects, interior stuff, etc) but, as Fallstar said, Saleen doesn't touch the motor at all. These are as real a Saleen as any of them, and very rare. The beauty of the S281E over the S281 cobra is the fact that the E car comes with a much more capable blower. -No blower swaps needed, just pulley swaps.

Smelling a rat here. It might be a real saleen on ebay, but unless somebody from the forum just put it for sale on ebay and didn't say anything on the forum, one of the 2 people copyed the others pics, either to sell a car they don't own, or to make beileve on a forum that they have the car.

I tried car fax and it just came up as a 2003 Cobra, if you bought the car and sent it to Saleen would it still show up on the registration? Does Saleen ever show up on the registration, or do you need to contact Saleen to verify a cars authenticity?
