Default Deep dish wear

Ireally want deep dishes but im worried about not being able to rotate my tires, i would asume since the wider rims allow for more rubber to be on the ground they wouldnt slip as much, do they wear down as fast as our stock tires would in back. i really dont want to have to be buying new tires every 10 or 20k miles

Just dont go Drag Radials and you should be fine. Nitto 555r drag radials are they longest wearing DR and they last about 12k-15k. So any regular tire will last longer than that.

Get a pair of goodyears f1-d3's, or a cheap pair of Sumitomo's. Those good years are probly some of the longest wearing tires that would fit on a deep dish.

im probably gonna go with the sumimotos seeing that im a daily driver and the f1 tires are 400 a piece, is that a good tire? and how much can i expect to see out of them mileage wise

Wider tires wouldn't wear as fast as stock if their hooking up and not spinning like the tiny stock ones.

I've got some cheap sumitomo's on the rear and they seem to be holding up very well. They are decent for how cheap they are. But if you are looking to hook up on the street, it's not going to happen.

Jeez, Dan, with an '04 Cobra, you can't get traction without slicks anyway. LOL

He's probably about 245 rwhp, so he should get better traction with deep dishes, right? I don't know what diameter rim he's speaking of or width (10 vs. 10.5), but 315/35/17s should hook up well, unless the Sumitomos are a hard compound.

DON'T FLAME ME! Really, I'm as interested as anyone in grip so I'm asking. I know those tires wear well, but I'm sure that comes at a price (traction). Why can't we have our cake and eat it too?
