Default computer tune

im thinking of getting a computer tuner chip thing for my car but which is best? also how much power would i gain and will my gas mileage get worse? i dont mind getting one if i can not get screwed over on my gas mileage. i have also heard theyre bad on computer is there any truth to that? so neways the bottom line is is it possible to get more power and leave my gas mileage the same as well as reliability of car with a computer chip tuner

Programers are a good mod, but if you don't know what your doing, you can do some damage in the long run. [:@] I'm taking mine to one of the best Mustang performance shops around here. They throw it on the dyno, mess with the timing, air/fuel and other things. They get optimal performance out of the car w/o sacrificing long term reliablility.
