on my 98 the clutch keeps popping out of reverse does any one else have this problem ive had 3 people drive it without telling them and it happened to them too ?

do you have a aftermarket shifter, if so you might have the bump stops set to close.

My buddy had the same problem with his only when in 2nd gear. I think he said somthing that had to do with some sort of fork that's in your trans that holds it in gear or somthing. IDK don't take my word but my buddy had the same problem.

yep, i had to help a friend replace the fork in his tranny. his was popin out of 1st though.


there are 2 forks in the tranny. and 2 bushings on each fork. these forks shirf the gears, and alow it to stay in gear. his were worn, and it was causing it to pop out. you cant buy just there bushing, you have to buy the whole fork. luckely they are only like 12 bucks.

it will pop out of reverse alot all the other gears are fine it did pop out of 4th 2 times in the last month I just bought the car so im not sure what condition everything is in

mine does it too. the t45 is garbage. i think it's the throwout bearing.
