hi all, i have recently purchased a 5spd 00gt. the check engine light comes on and goes off as it pleases it seems. im going to get the car scanned in a week or so (or basically whenever i get time to go have it done!!) but was going to see if anyone is able to guess what is causing it beforehand. i seem to think its a bad 02 sensor. any other guesses??

is the car stock? does it have an aftermarket midpipe with maybe a bad cat? could be the O2 sensor. when it comes on, does it stay on for a long period of time, then go off for a long period of time, or does it just kind of come on for a few seconds?

my old 96 gt did that before selling it. It would stay one for like 10 minutes. had the code pulled and said it was running rich i think, maybe lean, can't remember for sure. that would be my guess

if it comes on and off it may be a misfire. (simple like a spark plug or wire)... I'd definitely wouldn't doubt a rich or lean condition either though. Just go to autozone they should be able to pull the code for free.

yeah, its gotta be something dumb like what u guy were saying. it kinda feels a little sluggish when the check engine light is off. and yeah, within the next couple days, i will def. have to make a trip to autozone b/c i want this problemo fixed!!

by the way nanaki...where did u get those turbonators??? i think my car could really use some of those!!

Oxygen Sensor? [&:] I don't kno mybe check the Maf could that have something to do with it?
