It depends on whether you are going to get both at some time anyway. If you are,get the headers first. If not,get the headers anyway. They will be more expensive to buy and install (figure 6-8 hours) but your car will sound better and give you a solid platform to build upon. The T/B is a fairly simple R&R job that shouldn't take more than an hour to do by yourself in your driveway.I have an Accufab T/B and plenum and the quality is first rate.I went with Bassani Mid-length headers because they are put together as you install them and I figured they would be an easy install.WRONG.But they do sound good and the fit and finish is also first rate. Most people say that for LT's,Kooks, and Hooker are the only ones that allow the tranny to be removed without removing the headers but this might have changed by now also.

I had shorites and an X-pipe done for $700. Could have done it, but its a bitch. I went BBK, great quality, cant go wrong for the price. Order from Summit. Do headers/pipe first, much better gain. With the 75mmTB/Plenum from Accufab and the headers/hpipe or X-pipe your looking at 15-20RWHP with the right tune, maybe a little more.

For the power part, headers surley beat the TB and plenum... But if money is tight then do the TB and plenum. Go long tubes if you want headers though...
