Default crower cams on 01 GT

i was wondering if anyone heard stories or problems people have with crower cams. i was looking at the Crower stage 2 NA because they are similar to the VTstage2's but the duration is less and the lift is a little more. i would like it to idle somewhat nicely and with the lower duration the crower has i think a idle better than the VTstage2's because of the less duration. i was also wondering for valve springs would the comp cams beehives they make for the 4.6L handle the lift of crower. i saw on mustangtuning.com they recommend them for VTstage2's and i wonder if they could work for the crower stage 2's as well.

The valvesprings will work.

BTW, if you do not have a forged bottom end, and a set of heads that can support making horsepower to about 6.5-7K, you are shooting yourself in the foot by getting the stage 2s (I should know).

Stage 2s WILL NOT make more horsepower than stage 1s with a stock bottom end and stock heads. And they will make less horsepower lower in the RPM range than the stage 1s.

well i plan to go through the motor later down the road. i want to get a big-bore and stroker kit that is forged, and then VTstage2 heads. all i have to do is sell my truck.

and plus the crower stage2's are designed to improve the mid-range more than the top-end(or so they say).

I am not entierly sure I would go with stage 2s again even IF I was gonna put a forged bottom end in it. I just don't like how they add virtually no power until 5K RPM.
