Default Timming Adjuster/NO2

I've been looking into both for my car, however the more I look intoNO2 the more I see their companies warning that you must have stock timming. <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"></P>

If a nitrous system do I have to have stock timming, or is this just a precaution, If my timming ischanged will it increase the chance of my motor going bad?</P><edited><editID>Craziness4fun</editID><editDate>38000.9598032407</editDate></edited>

You actually want to retard the timing for nitrous.

Yes, you should have stock timing, if anything the timing should be retarded a few seconds to avoid detonation.......take your car to a shop with experience installing nitro kits and they will be able to help and guide you.Cold spark plugs may have to be installed too.

A diablo 3 program chip is a good idea. </P>

1.Stock program</P>

2.Performance advanced timing, tweaked A/F ratio.</P>

3.NO2 setting, when your car is armed and your NO2 activates at wot, this setting will pull timing and adjust other perameters as well at wot.</P>

Make sure you run the highest octancepumpgas as well anything to help prevent detonation.</P>

So basically, to run better NA I would like to bump the timming up but doing so would probabally mess up on NO2. Right?<IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley25.gif'" height=12 alt=Question src=smileys/smiley25.gif width=12 border="0"></P>

Would a chip switch the timming (is that even possible) from one setting for na and one on NO2 while driving? <IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley3.gif'" alt=Shocked src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0">Or would that just retard it for me all the time? </P>

Gas wise mine's never tasted anythingbelow 93.<IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley2.gif'" alt=Wink src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

Also if my timming is retarded to prevent detonation and I have colder spark plugs will that hurt me when I'm running na? and if so enough to notice, or worry about?</P>

Thanks</P>

The diablo 3 prog. chip in one of the modes, specified by you (fill out their form),will pull timing atand only atwot when yourNO2 activates. It also adjusts other parameters during this time.</P>

You can switch between the 3 modes while driving. While running on the other program orNA performance program your timing will be advanced.</P>

So when you want to run Nitrous say at the track, switch to the 3rd setting and activate your nitrous system then you are ready to rock.</P>

Its ok todrive with colder plug for NO2 and NA.</P>

no2: what do you run with your setup with and w/o no2? how much are you spraying. Do you have a chip on yours? It looks like you and I have similar upgrades just different companies.<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0"></P>
