Default 2000 GT V 05 GT

I ran a buddy's 05 GT yesterday and took him from a stop, but don't think he can drive. He has a automatic mine is a 5 speed plus I have gears. Anyone else raced one and won.

the 05 autos still have 5 gears, just like the 5 speed. guess you got a really good launch.

The 05 GT, has 40hp and 3.55 gears compared to the 99-04 which have 3.27 gears... The mods on your car caught you up on the hp differance, but your gears won you that race... Nice Kill... The only 05 that i've been able to race wasn't stock and wasn't even close... lol.. I got murdered.

I raced an 05 when I had all my bolt ons and NO gears and had him by 3/4 of a car on a 40 roll. But he had 3 ppl in his car and I had 1, lol. So I don't consider that a good race at all. Not proud of that one...

But my buddy with an 04 GT with CAI, TB, Plenum, Pulleys, Chip, O/R H, SLP LMI and 3:55 takes stock/very near stock 05's all day long...

i almost raced an 05+ GT. i didn't want to waste my gas since it was an older guy and it looked stock. i usually don't pick races i KNOW i'll win now.

Don't forget that the new GT's are very heavy. That weighs into it.
