The o/r xpipes free up alot of power and sound on the late model stangs because it eliminates the 6 cats we have on them. (4 cats, 2 resonators).After I took the stock pipe off and layed on the ground I just stared at it trying to figure out with the hell ford was thinking on that one.

I'll be glad when I can quite posting this:

Chambered = no power

Free Flow = powered

"they flow like the magnaflows." is a load of CRAP. FlowMaster's have a good name, because their street products can produce a SOUND that can make anybody drool, & they seem to SOUND like the Mustang SHOULD have from the factory. They have NEVER been referred to for performance to my knowledge while being backed w/hp #'s as proof (I don't cosider a 7hp deficit to Magnaflow beneficial unless you just want sound). IMHO, FM's are a lot like Honda CBR's. Everybody who wants to ride, but has NO CLUE how to even RIDE (there's a difference between that & popping a wheelie) a wheelie will swear on his life that his/her little F3/F4/F4i/600RR/900RR/929RR/954RR etc...will out perform a GSX-R...which is another load of crap. Say this w/me..."Purpose built." Purpose of CBR's (in general)are to beDO IT ALLS. The Gixxer's purpose are to win races.

Regarding FlowMasters...their purpose is for SOUNNNND. Chambered mufflers restrict airflow by their definition alone.

muffler

\Muf"fler\, n. (Mach.) Any of various devices to deaden the noise of escaping gases or vapors, as a tube filled with obstructions, through which the exhaust gases of an internal-combustion engine, as on an automobile, are passed (called also silencer).

Free Flowing mufflers do the exact opposite. I don't think I need to define what free flow means. And, what is so "unique" about Flowmaster's sound? MOST EVERYONE HAS ONE! The is not unique...that is following the unknowledgable crowd. Do you have any references of FM making more or even just as much hp as Magnaflow, Borla, Bassani, or any other free flowing exhaust? Don't post bullsh*t. If you want to help someone give them fact, or shut up. No need to lie, and further confuse someone who admittedly does not know the difference in exhaust brands.

I'm sorry if this seems harsh, but I tell ya we need a F.A.Q. section on this forum.

For real peformance gain nothing better than Nitrous or Boost.........who cares about losing 4-5 HP from Chambered Mufflers, no one will note that difference, if you can, man, I'll have to call you DYNOMAN

Then call me DYNOMAN. Every little bit counts, & 5rwhp IS noticeable. If you can make muscle w/out a P/A then you're cool. Boost, or Juice is the easy way out. Granted, it is a lot cheaper though. And for the record...Magnas make more than 5hp over flows. The lowest dyno I saw was 7hp more. Not to mention they are better quality, & offer a better warranty. But go for what you will. If I wanted a slow Stang, I'd have taken this "Flowmaster bandwagon" too.

great things to power adders are. You are missing my point. If you had Magnas on ur car, u'd be even faster than you are now. The fact is Magnaflow offers a better overall quality exhaust system. PERIOD. The sound is debatable, but IMO, flows don't do it.

BTW...what are u doing in the 1/4? 60's?

Dude...N2O......you need to start thinking about power.....not "I'm only loosing blah da blah da blah for bulldas**tinca".
The more you do, the more it chokeholds. The more it chokeholds the slower it becomes. I'm always concerned about performance, especially on a domestic V8, because let's face it, a fast motor is a good, happy motor, and happy motors sound bad ***.
When you can get me a sound clip of a V8 mustang sounding like *** with any type of exhaust set up, you MIGHT be able to not look like a complete moron.
