Default Gear Installation Questi&

Alright, I bought a Ford Racing 4.10 ring and pinion set. Is this something that one might try to tackle themselves? I have a lift, and pretty much all the air tools I could need.

Has anyone done this? What else do I need to know?

you could...but it might be the best 150 you ever spent to have some else do it..I believe in doing it yourself but being a beginner on this you might have to set them up 2,3,4 times you need a heavy duty air gun and avg tools and some blue dye or white grease. and buy the dial indecator with is like 100.00 buys... it's a 2 hour job you could try and if they whine go have them done then. if you decide let me know I'll help ya

I suppose you're right. For $150 it's not worth it to do it yourself. I just hate other people working on my cars.

Now I need to find someone to do it for me.

do nottt do them yourself! unless you are experienced! Its a very tuff task to make sure you have the proper gap, cant have everything too close, or too far away, unless you want nasty noises. I paid to have it done, I wouldnt even consider it!
