Default Harmonic Balancer Removal

Sup guys need some tech help. I ran into a problem trying to install my ud pulleys. I borrowed a harmonic balancer puller from a freind and they come with 3 sets of bolts that screw into the balancer. Well none of them fit. I was wondering if this was a common problem and if there is a specific puller that has the correct size bolts.

What is the correct size bolt and thread that I need. If I know that I could just run to the hardware store and pick up 3 bolts that fit.

you need a three prong harmonic puller that grips the outside lip of the pulley thats what i used i rented one from autozone but make shure you dont let the middle screw thing go in the crank hole i did and it messed the threds up i had to retap them but it worked

He is absolutely right.

Check out Mustangworld's "how to" section. They tell you exactly what you need and how to do it.

yeah I used the Mustangworld.com directions and rented a puller from schucks and the install went really smooth. I didn't feel much gain of power but it did feel alot smoother in the idle and low RPMS.

I feel the same things.

Thanks guys for all the help. The install went smooth. It makes the install much easier if you remove the fan imo. Also, the crank pulley fit nicely without the need to warm it up.
