Default Shortest Shortshifter?

I am going to be buying a Shortshifter for my 01 GT and am considering my options. I want to either get the Pro 5.0, the steeda Tri-Ax, the B&m pro ripper, or the MGW. I'm sure that there wont be much difference in quality or the actual throw, however I want a nice short lever. The stock shift handle height really pisses me off. To me it seems too truck-like. So I am wondering which of the shifters I mentions will have the shortest and most up-right handle. Anybody have any idea? Thanks

MGW claims the shortest on the market.

I have one and am very happy with it. I have driven cars with other types and I think the MGW is the nicest.

But remeber you are going to get bias opinions [8D]

Yup, MGW here as well. I will say it is a pretty short throw and you can adjust the handle to any position you want. People are going to tell you what they have for a shifter is the best. SO, whichever you can get for the cheapest could be your best bet.

I have driven a pro 5.0 car & a Tri-ax before and I can say MGW was shorter.

+1 for MGW. I just wish i would have got it after the redesign. short shifts like with the old blue handle, but the handle is long like the old red handle

Yea I have heard quite a few good things about the MGW, however I wasnt just wondering which shifts would actually be shorter, also which HANDLE would be shorter. Call me a ricer, but having driven a dodge stealth prior to my mustang, I prefer that nice short, handle over the tall truck-like stick that the mustang has stock. And also, a question about the MGW, its true you choose between one of the tho handles, which one did you guys choose, and whats the difference between the two?

No -- you only get the orange handle now. It shifts as short as the old Blue "Racer" handle, but is more comfortable like the Red "cruiser" handle. The MGW moves the shifter ball back towards you a bit, so that you can reach it while keeping the short throw. You can also rotate the handle around the shaft until you get just the right feel. (I have mine slightly canted towards me, as opposed to straight back and forth in line with the axis of the car.)
Here's a link to MGW's page for the shifter: http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_shifter.shtml

Here's a couple of pics of mine -- but bear in mind this is the old style red "Cruiser" setup.
