Default going to the track

ok im going to the track for the first time,i got a stock 03 gt mustang with flowmasters, what should i be shifting at for the best times?

I've got an 03 gt and since the peak hp is at 5k rpms, I was shiftin at about 5500rpms, you just have to feel it out, good luck at the track, let us know how you make out!

Take first gear to almost redline, then shift at 5500 or so. I did this, and got the best times from my 03gt. Watch 2nd though, its tricky as far as making it stick without spinning too much. Good luck.

i shift at around 5200-5500 which really works great for me because i think anything above redline is useless and just hurting your engine and your peak horse should be around 5250. and get a shift lite helps out alot when racing!

well i didnt make it out last friday it was raining so it was closed down, so im heading out there this friday if the weather is nice, i just put a custom cold air intake on
