Default Exhaust and Air Filter

I would basically like some opinions!!! I am down to buying a catback and air filter for my 2003 GT, now would I would like to know is when it comes to exhaust MAGNAFLOW orFLOWMASTER and why?.. Also I dont know what to pick between the the shieldedSTEEDA air filter or theMAC that fits nice and snug in the right fender. When it comes to the MAC air filter I can imagine it must be better cause it aint sucking in the heat generated by the engine and also stainless steel pipe looks better than the aluminum.

Flowmaster = for sound

Magnaflow = for HP.

Check the thread I made in the Exhaust & Appearance forum for my Magnaflow muffler exhaust clips.

The difference in HP is significant, if you plan on doing any other mods to the car Magnaflow is the best you can do. It sounds awesome IMO.

Flowmaster mufflers are baffled & chambered, Magnaflow is straight through (you can see right through the damn thing), there is absolutely no restriction whatsoever. **X**** HP with a very tuned sound..

Don't do the Mac set-up. The Steeda looks OK, but I did the C&L and I like it ALOT! I really felt an increase as soon as I put it on.

I'm probably going with the MAgnaflow cat-back and catted X-pipe. Getting it in a few weeks!

the C&L setup is the way to go bud! 85mm m.a.m. w/true flow pipe, K&N filter, FRPP 70mm t/b, & C&L upper intake plenum! You will not be sorry. I know from 1st hand experience.

Exhaust...Magnaflows will give you the hp/ft-lbs you want, & sound good too. Plus they are completely stainless steel w/a lifetime warranty. Flowmasters do not give you much more than the sound. You DO net a few more ponies over stock, but Magnas make at least 7hp more! I've seen it on a dyno.
