Squeel?

Squeel?
Ok, I've had a high pitch squeel that will come and go. It is most noticable at a stoplight or somewhere I'm in neutral, but will stop when I touch the clutch pedal. It will also start back up again if I touch the pedal a few more times. It also does it when I'm driving in a gear and it will just start, but stop once I take the slack out of the clutch pedal.

I've taken it to the dealer to get fixed first in december and they replaced a bearing and charged 400$ (they said it wasn't covered under warranty).

Then it started early Jan and I took it back and they said it was the retainer to that bearing... and that was under warranty. Now it just started again and I just ran out of warranty.

What is this really? and should Ileave it to tweedle D and tweedle dumb to do again? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Squeel?
Yeah, high pitched. It will start and stop on it's own... you can stop it by touching the clutch (taking out the slack). It's not bad but it'll only get worse...

From the outside it sounds real bad... I like to hear my exhaust but all I hear is the squeel

I have the answer to your problem. My mustang was doing the same thing...and it got worse. What i did was get underneath it and spray everything thing with WD-40...i think it might be rust building up underneath it. It's a problem that ford needs to address. When you barley touch the clutch it stops...but put it in neutral and it will squeel like your belts are going bad or something. PM me and let me know if you get it fixed...
