My best bud has been on my case for the longest time to invest in a good radar detector.
His argument is that it will be a DAMN good invest if I even get pulled over once. The one time I get pulled over will cost more than if I had purchased the unit, plus if I got pulled over additional times it would really be a kick in the ***. I always told him it was a waste of money, and I didn't need it. Of course this would lead into him pissing and moaning and saying how I was going to regret this and that and "you'll see".
So far, he's gotten 2 speeding tickets with the radar detector and I have yet to be pulled over and given a single ticket...EVER.
But for what it's worth, he chose an Escort radar detector.
