Default high milage 4.6?

How does the 4.6 stand up to high milage? Do they last if taken care of? Who here has 100+ or 150+ on theirs? Please tell

107k on mine. Runs like a dream, kinda grumpy at times. I think that's just the mods though. Take care of it, becuase it should last a while. There was a guy at the old performance shop I would go to with an older model that had like 250k on it with 150 shot of nos. His motto was just run it until he blew it then get another engine. Since I'm doing all my PI stuff soon, (in the shop getting ported and polished now) I figure I should be adding some life to the engine.

The no pushrod design helps immensly. I would say if you don't race your car, 150k miles on the motor is attainable easily.

Only 72,200 miles, but the car runs as strong as the day I bought it. There's a very slight knock which sounds to me like a rod, and it loses a little bit of oil, but not much. Nothing a good old-fashioned tune-up couldn't fix. I just had the transmission rebuilt too so I expect it to outlast the life of the car. Other than that no problems at all with the car.
