Oil Leak

Oil Leak
I have a 98 GT with 80K miles that has suddenly developed a bad engine oil leak (one quart every time I drive it). I have wiped everything down (engine-chassis-exhaust system) and checked every reachable bolt. Everything is tight and I can't identify the source of the leak. It is not coming from anything high up like the valve covers. It does not leak until the engine warms up and the oil is under pressure. Everything runs fine, otherwise, but I leave an 18 inch circumferance oil stain everywhere I park, and the exhaust system smells bad from the dripping hot oil. ANY IDEAS? New: I went under the car while it was running and spotted the leak, mainly because it's gotten much worse. There is a pinhole in the housing that the oil filter screws into. It POURS out of that tiny hole and spreads all over the bottom of engine, chassis and exhaust. It can't be road damage - too high up and protected. The Ford parts guy is trying to tell me it's the "Oil Cooler" and not the oil filter housing. The book says only Cobras have an Oil Cooler. Anyone else have this experience with a faulty housing?<IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>novice</editID><editDate>38022.9132291667</editDate></edited>
