If you paint the carbon fiber hood it'll be ok. If youre trying to save weight why not get a fiberglass hood? Then you dont have to worry about people thinking youre an import assclown. Forget the stripes. Thats homo. Leave the damn tail lights alone too.

You should be happy with your car, do what you want...but heres my question...If the car just looks good, but dosent perform, then your in for alot of people with fast moded cars that might not look as good, blowing your doors off. No ofense, but looking good comes after performance in my book. If your going to spend 300 or 3000 dollars, go with a performance mod...If you have 10 or 15 thousand...go all out, build a monster.

Build the motor, not the body. If you look like a stock mustang then thats what they expect is stock performance. Until they can figure it out otherwise that your not stock. Heres a sayong that I will borrow from my Harley buddies... "Chrome wont get you home" well in this case "Body kits will not win the race."

Goodluck in what you decide.

If you want to make it really saucy, get the carbon fiber hood, but paint it to match the rest of the car, you'll save weight, and it'll look stock! Can you say SLEEPER!!

Carbon fiber= big bucks to shave less than 10 pounds.

Why not take out hte carpeting/insulation in the trunk or rear passenger area? It'll save more weight and it's FREE.

Besides, not a lot of carbon fiber hoods accept stock hood latches, which usually means hood pins.
