Default upper intake plenum (modificat

In the recent magazine of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, there was an article of this guy named Ben Alameda who manufactured a new modification for the upper intake plenum of 4.6l 2V models that increases the hp by 10 on OE mustang parts... I wrote him an e-mail of how much was the plenum going to be and when was it going to be ready to sell...

The cost of the plenum is $229.90 and is ready to ship.

What do you guys think of this mod? Is it worth the $$$?

Oh and also one of the stats that I remember from the article was an increase to 238.6 HP at 4400rpm...(I don't know if that helps...)

I saw that article too, I guess it might be worth a shot. If it truly does add 10 hp and something like 15 ft. lbs of torque it is definitely worth it.

Yeah, if the hp power gains are true, then it's great but do you think $230 is legit for an upper intake plenum... They proved it with some dyno testing...so i don't know, i think i might just go for it if there are no objections.....

$230 is not too much money for a mod like that. Basically the only other alternative is upgrading to a Bullit intake which is almost $1000. Sometime relatively soon I will probably get the ported intake along with an intake spacer and a 70mm throttle body. I think its worth the money.
