Default First mods ?

I have an03 GT 5 spd. It ran 14.01 at 101 - 102 last year stock on street tires. I'm thinking of doing a lowering springs, 3.90 gears, and a chip. Any thoughts on where that will put my 1/4 mi time?

Why are u getting a chip so soon? Is that ALL that you are doing to your car? If so, nevermind that question. If not, then WHAT THE HECK ARE U THINKING!!!

No need for a chip. the 3.90 gears should get you around 13.5-13.7 if you hook. Goodluck.

well you have the wrong plan
1. drag radials
2. 100# wt loss on the car
3. lowering will not help
4. 50/50 rear shock 70/30 strut
5. battery in the trunk
6. loosen the front sway bar
7.lighter rims
8. syth oils
9. 3:73's
no since in added any hp til it hooks
13.60's

Gears are good, Springs to lower for looks and handling good, but why the chip? How about your intake? How about Exhaust? Why not do UD pullies? Timing adjuster? Just a few things to get your Stang rocking.

Whoever gave you this advise is way wrong and the rest of the guys would agree.

I figured I'd help out Vfast w/a little revising. There is only 200rpm difference between 3:73's, & 4:10's, & that little bit of a difference won't effect your gas mileage. What WILL is a heavy foot. Starting off in 2nd when just cruising around, & not falling out of your power band past 120mph are all pluses in my book.
