Default RE: Powerdyne nightmare

Okay, the guy at the shop said it was definetly ceased up because the blower pulley should be free to spin; however, the pulley won't budge. We didn't open up the head unit, but now I'm wondering about a rebuild kit. I found this shop online called 928 motorsports that has high praise for powerdyne rebuilds. Just send it in and they'll work on it and build it better than before. It'll cost around probably 500 bucks. Right now I'm wondering though, can they take it and revive it, or bring it back to normal conditions if it is ceased up, or do you have to send it in while it's still in working order? I found another place that shows how to open the unit up, but I'm scared to do that and cause serious damage that can't be repaired at all. I want to get the blower back on before summer hits because that's when the track opens and I'd like to give the car a good run. I'm sure I'd probably do DECENT naturally aspirated, but the boost is always a nice bonus. Thanks for the help in advance...

You should probably just call the shop you found that rebuilds Powerdynes. I don't think very many people on these forums have Powerdynes.

+1

Call the shop and let them fix it. If they can make it hold together for 500 bucks thats the way to go.

Powerdyne sucks, but if they fix a few of the problems and you don't try to run more than about 8 PSI you should be ok.
