Default Tires

Hey all,

I have inspection approaching and I'm gonna need 2 new rear tires (how could THAT happen?). I was thinking about getting something that might hook up better, but wasn't sure where to start. I've got 17" rims. Not a daily driver. Not a lot of track action, but some.

Any suggestions?

if its basically only a street car with stock wheels just get the same ones that you had, unless they were terrible.

i really like my kumho ecsta mx tires.

i know that they are not the best and they definately dont hook like some nice drag radials, but for the money i think they are a great tire. the tread life is also pretty good compared to other tires. ive had mine for a while and i havent seen much wear. the only bad thing about the ecsta mx tires is that they dont get good traction in the rain... i have scared myself more than i few times on wet roads. lol.

they are 129 at tire rack, and you might be able to find them cheaper.

if you are looking for more performance, i am sure somebody else will chime in about some Nitto 555r's or BFG drag radials or something.

I would just get the same kind you had on there. No need for some exspensive drag radials when you're pretty much stock.

Yea, I'm basically stock. Thanks for the advice. I'll worry about the tires after I get blown. I did start the fund for the blower this month. It probably won't happen for a year b/c my car is paid off in a year...plus, I just bought a house and it's proving to be a money pit...lol. But it's a money pit with a garage! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I'll make sure I get a video of when I burn the old tires off.
