Default Mac exhaust install

Yea I cheaped out and went with mac instead of SLP and now I'm kicking myself for it. It fits but it is a terrible fit and the tips will not line up at all even with the adjustable hangers.

Anyone installed a mac exhaust? Any pointers or tips? I need help.

Anyone?

I'm about 2 second away from putting it back in the box and sending it back and getting an SLP.

I got it installed for $50. Totally worth it IMO. The mechanic said it was a pain for him having to adjust everything.

It doesn't need to be welded in it just doesn't line up for ****, installing my lowering springs was a much easier task than this to give everyone an idea.

I just got done with it, the mac exhaust tucks up so tightly that its real hard to get some of the muffler hangers on, the full install took me about 4 hours. I'm actually very happy with it now that it's installed. Just had to vent out a few hours ago after I cut my hands open about 5 times.

For the price, mac exhaust is a good choice.

+1, the fit of MAC catback is not the best, but it sounds great and should last forever if you get the stainless steel version. A good muffler shop will make it fit.

I actually like the sound of an SLP with the catted SLP x-pipe, but I wont lie the mac does sound very good. If I had a second set of hands it would have gone much much smoother.

As for a link I got it from Late model performance, like $313 shipped I think. They are a sponsor of this site too. LMperformance.com i believe is their site.

Hey, how did you hang the mufflers with the little z shape hangers? I can't figure out how those go. It seems like they're supposed to run along with the muffler and I don't have any clamps
