HELP!!! DON'T KNOW WHAT ROUTE TO TAKE??? N/A OF F/I?
Alright guys, Ive been lurking aroung these forums for awhile trying to get ideas of what to spend my money on, but i keep changing my mind. I have a 2002 GT 5 speed. My biggest thing is, i want to do something once and thats it. That is why im putting my mods on hold till i decide what kinda setup im goin with. I am confused as to either go with a blower or just stay N/A. Here are some things to consider in planning my build.
-I dont have tons of money.(no big blowers/fully forged/built trannys or rearends)
-It's not a daily driver, but i will go on a highway where i have to go about 75 at the most.
-Its just a street car. No plans of making it strip only.
-want to be able to keep up with a decently quick street car.
-has to be reliable.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK!!!

Well honestly.... I kinda wish I would have gone Nitrous route..... Because its cheap in cost and big in power..... AND you can have a Bad A$$ N/A set up for the street, and some go go juice for the track!

throw on a vortech mongoose kit, get it dynotuned...you'll be at 400rwhp, beat most of the cars you race, lose to some...and be happy with that.

Not to steal the forum or anything, but he asked exactly what I wanted to know. So I thought I'd save a repeated question because everyone hates those right!BUT, If he or I were to go with the mongoose kit and also wanted a cam for the tough sounding idle and maybe heads, do you have to get ones that are specifically designed for supercharged motors or can I buy a cam and heads now, install them, and get the s/c later? I absolutely love the sound of a loping car and I thought about getting the cam now and getting the s/c later but I don't want to get a cam if it will not support the s/c later. Thanks! Good question! Mustang430
