Default 06SC Saleen or SRT8 jeep

Hey guys my friend has a black 06 auto supercharged saleen. Its stock for now because hes waiting to do the flat black wheels and the xtreme kit. But now he is wanting to sell his car and buy a SRT8 jeep. Its a toss up between the two.

Which car is an overall better car(i know its all personal opinion) but we want to hear what people have to say about the 2 of them.

Where do you live? Driving a jeep in the snow would be easier than a mustang.

I would go for the mustang, but that jeep can be made to be pretty quick.

What does he want out of the cars? They're two totally different types of vehicles, so there's no way to say which is better.

Just so everyone here knows, the V6 section has had problems with redstang14, so nobody has to take anything he says seriously. If you want to call him a douche or something, go ahead, his reactions are quite amusing.

I would go for the Jeep, no doubt about it. He needs to drive both and then decide. Whoever said the Jeep SRT-8 can be made to be fast doesn't know much about them. It's in SUV that can run a 13.5 stock. A good driver can run a low 13 with a Saleen on street tires. Both handle like they are on rails, both are quick. The Jeep (IMO) is way more for the money. I am not talking crap about Saleens, but I test drove one and was a little let down. Especially for a supercharged stang. I was impressed with the handing and that was it. I felt like the GTO I had at the time was quicker and way better quality. The SRT-8 felt faster, handled better, and was put together a little better to me. Once again, plz don't get offended, the Saleens are badass cars, I just like the Jeep better.

In reality I think you would have more fun with the JEEP, because you expect a mustang to be fast but when you see a full size jeep run a low 13 in the quarter, that turns heads.

A powerful, all-wheel drive Jeep is a great novelty item. But, it's tough to take SUV's through the twisties []. Besides, the SRT-8 weighs about 1000 more pounds than an 06 S281 SC. Even for straight-line acceleration.....that's a hell of a lot of weight to overcome .

No snow.

Hes 18.

Hes not really going for a road course car, i wish otherwise.

He is bored with the auto, and im trying to get him to trade in his car and go for the saleen extreme. I think it will be a great car for some small-twisties, and good for straight power. Overall its his decision but i just dont want him to regret having an SUV.(even though it could kill 95% of the cars on the road with some mods)
