Default 300 hp, how close am I?

I know this subject has probably been beat to death, but I've done a search and couldn't really find anything definite. I have an '01 GT automatic with a BBK CAI, Accufab 70mm throttle body/plenum combo, throttle body spacer, and Flowmaster 40s. I plan on getting long tube headers and an off road pipe next. What else should I get to reach 300 hp? TIA.

with the full exhaust and ur other supporting mods, you will probably be right around 245 rwhp... the auto kills you. you will need at least cams to even come close to 300rwhp

Ported and polished heads, good cams, underdrive pulleys,a good set of longtube headers, off road x pipe, and possibly a 75mm throttle bodyif you're going N/A. Throttle body spacer a little more than a paper weight in my opinion.

Oh yeah a great dyno tune is definitelya must.

Right now you are at about 230rwhp. You need full exhaust, cams, heads, 75mm TB/ Plenumand a good tune to even get close to 300rwhp.

Oh I know the tb spacer is kinda useless, but it was cheap and I figured I might as well. The main goal for my car is to be able to run from my cousin's Gen 3 LT-1, T-5 Camaro. As far as I know he's got a mild cam, ported heads, and a chip. I think that's it.

STOCK he could be anywhere from 210-220rwhp. If thats the case you honestly think full exhaust would only net him an additional 10-20? From the stangs ive seen, full exhaust, tb and plenum, cai, and **** tune got my friend about 265rwhp, and that was with a crappy tune mind you. A good tune coulda had him 270-275ish.

And another friend of mine is doing the heads cam full exhaust route, and he should be seeing 310-320rwhp with em.

full exhuast wont give much more than 20hp to the wheel. But you would have to get cams and/or ported heads to get up near 300.
or a shot of nos.

Full exhaust on its owncan get anywhere from 25-30rwhp. Depending on the tune, and of course youd need better flowing heads. With the latter 2, ive seen gains from 25-45. You will need the heads to get the full efficiency of the system, but still on its own, full exhaust should get you on average 25-30.

Thats funny, you guys must be using a happy dyno. Most stock PI 2vs dyno anywhere between 225-235rwhp. If you think your gonna be anywhere near 260 with just exhaust, pass the pipe bud. If you don't agree for some reason, you need to talk to all the people on here running full exhaust (including LTs), CAIs, TB/Plenums, UDPs, and GOOD tunes running in the 250-260 range. 270+ your looking at at least a set of Cams.
