To black out out tail lights or not?

RE: To black out out tail lights or not?
I'm not sure on the laws in all states but in Texas, your brake lights only have to be visible within 500 feet. With my 100% tinted you can see them just fine. I've been pulled over several times for bogus stuff (ex.- no front plate, clear turn signal bulbs, tinted plate cover, etc.....) and all have said that my lights were fine. Can't put the blame on you if it's not against the law bro

Black that shiz out...I'm about to black out my heads, tails, markers, and fogs. The blackout look looks so sinister it's sickening.[sm=badbadbad.gif]

i'd say tint them 50% but when you do, get higher intensity LED brake light bulbs. so people can see throught the tinted tail lights

While we're on this subject, how do you go about tinting them either 50% or 100%? Is there a rule of thumb to doing these? I've seen the blackout paint on Amer. Muscle but have never known how to do it so it looks good and match each other when done. Someone fill me in on how you did yours. Thanks!
