i'd get a PI intake first if i were you, you'll see pretty nice gains just from that.

Looking for a used kit is your best bet to getting a cheap supercharger kit. Unless you don't want to go used. Its kind of a gamble buying used anything, but thats why it cheaper.

I bought my Procharger used on Ebay, and haven't had any issues with it. I can't say the same for my stock shortblock though[&:]

Getting a used one would make sense, but you have to remember what you're getting. I would be sick if I dropped 2-3k on a used supercharger and then have it crap out on me within the month. I'd say save your money and buy a new one and get a warranty just to CYA.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. A S/C kit is just like a motor in itself. The tubing, head unit, intercooler, etc. are all seperate parts. If one gives out you can replace that specific part. If the head unit breaks, it can be rebuilt by the company. I just bought a used procharger kit for $3400 and saved myself about $2k. The only thing I would worry about is wrecking the car and destroying the kit itself.

Used is the way to go if you ask me. Unless you go with the mongoose kit from MPH for $3400.
