Default Amsoil or Royal Purple

I just took out my car from my garage from the winter.I was wondering what oil should i get? I was looking at Amsoil 5W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil (XLM) or Royal Purple 5w-20 Synthetic Motor Oil. My car is a 2002 Gt.

Thanks

i dunno man, if i were you i'd just go with mobil 1 synthetic- that's what i use, and i have some friends who race some pretty powerful porsches and they use it in their 700 hp turbo 944. it'll last a long time and it works GREAT.

If you change it every 3k miles...Then just go with a conventional. If you like to let your changes slide a bit, then go with Mobil 1 Syn

I use Royal Purple. It's a little more pricey, but meh, I usually don't cheap out when it comes to my car. Mobil 1 and Royal Purple seem to be the more popular choices.

Our agency uses AMS oil because of the 25k recommended oil change (I don't recommend that). I will say that the Manager of the parts store I work at part time uses AMS oil and he swears by it. He said he changed his oil once this past year. AMS oil also has a 25k oil filter, but I still haven't got up the gaul to try it. It's expensive and they claim that if you add up all of your oil changes in 1 year, you will save by going with the AMS oil. I think it's like $80 to go with the AMS oil oil change, but just look at it as you having to change your oil only once in a year (assuming you don't drive over 20-25k).
