Default RE: 00' type R or 01 bullitt build up?

Cobra R's go for a pretty penny, and you would be dumb to buy one and use it as a daily driver. If you could afford one, it would be a good investment, but if you want something to drive then get a Termi. Driving the Cobra R all the time would really kill the value. Like said above, only 300 made, they are WAY more expensive than a Termi.

This is very true.. but Cobra R's are still chubby inducing.. lol Though, what the OP COULD do, is buy a 4V 5.4L out of a Navigator and re-work the intakes, cams, etc, and you'd essentially have the same N/A power for a lot less money.. Have to admit having a 5.4 in a Bullitt isn't a bad idea, especially since the OP said he didn't mind spending 25k on the car above purchase price. With that cash you could get the H/C/I ported, the block bought, the tranny, suspension, and rear end beefed up, and some at least decent cosmetics done to it also methinks..

Why take the functional wing off? The car is designed for the track.

Just a waste of a car then IMO. Not much point to have a Cobra R as a daily driver.

hahah ok its decided then, investment car will be down to cobra R or ZR1 vette =) both are in power/price range i want and ive driven in some modded suspension cars so i know what im in for

id actually leave everything on it... only thing i would remove for driving it anywhere would probably be the front air dam because i wouldnt want to see it get scratched up or broken.... wing stays. if its a legit cobra, it keeps the wing no matter how retarded it looks haaha

jmac, your right it would be a waste of a car if it never saw the track once in its life so id be sure to take it at least once and it would essentially be a weekend/car show car.

theres a place over here called cars n coffee (theres a ton of youtube videos of nice car doing burn out's there) its in irvine CA next to the mazda main building and the last time i went i saw the R as well as a bunch of other stangs and 2 of the new challengers, in fact let me post a pic of them... horrible cars, basically a mobile boat.

Don't forget that the Cobra R came with no A/C and no radio. Would be a pretty crappy daily driver.
