Could someone please help me decide. Should I go with Xpipe without cats or with cats, and what is the difference in sound, speed, and power between the two.

also in some states its illegal not to have cats...
you can still do it but it would be a hassle when its inspection time...unless you can find a shop that will pass you anyway...good luck with that though
I started out with a BBK catted X but switched to a off road pipe because I wanted it louder. Don't get me wrong the catted X sounded good and had a lot of back pressure popping (I luv that sound) but I just wanted something nasty enough to compare to the rumble of the off road h pipes that every one around here is running.
Also what helped me in my decision making process is I found a shop that will take care of my inspection.

If you have SLP LM1's then I would go catted X, it's all a matter of opinion though.
+1 to everything he said. O/R X and chambered [sm=smiley20.gif] LM2's dont sound too bad with an O/R X either, I listened to HOSS302's video the other day and it sounded pretty good.
How about X pipe with cats. Does anyone have a video clip I can take a look at to hear the difference from XPipe no cats.
I have Flowmaster 40 series deltaflows on there now. If I add the Xpipe with cats, would that mean I have to get new mufflers? Can they reuse the flowmasters I have on there now? Thank you for your help.

You can keep the Flows as is, they are unaffected from a midpipe swap.....With a catted X and Flows, it'll be way too quite for my tastes, but I'm not sure how loud you want it. Honestly, with my setup O/R X with Flowmaster 40s I'd rather them be a little louder.

Yea with cats and delta flows it's gonna be not much louder than stock. Your best bet is to get on youtube.com or streetfire.net and search for "o/r x and delta flowmaters" or "catted x and delta flowmasters"
Thank you for your guidance on this. How about headers (shorties). Does this add any sound to the exhaust note? Its quite an expensive project to install headers. Therefore, I should be ok with just the X pipe off road and the delta flow 40s? WHat do you folks think?
