actually most late-model cars, irregardless of manufacturer, use a form of V-TEC, they just don't use the name. dont forget, V-TEC stands for Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control. for example, its called MIVEC from Mitsubishi, VVTL-i from Toyota, VarioCam Plus from Porsche, VVL from Nissan, just to name a few.
