Dyno Tuned the 1996 GT With Cams Today
Well I finally found the time to get my 96 GT on the rollers and tuned today. I'm very pleased with the results. The drivability is damn near stock-like, idles very well with a good lope and pulls very hard throughout the entire powerband.
These cams were designed by me, and ground by Comp Cams.
I did the tuning on a Mustang Dyno, which as most of you know is a load cell based dyno and requires proper calibration. This is why most of them read lower HP numbers. I'll be taking the car to a dyno day next month that will be performed on a DynoJet chassis dyno, which should give me the numbers we are all looking for.
In the meantime, it made 277rwhp on a Mustang Dyno today. I'm taking it to the strip this weekend, and will post up the ET's once I do.
