Kenne bell all the way!!! awsome power and they provide you with everything you need to get going. if you order their kit for $4999.00 and their CAI kit for $573 with 9psi you will be anywhere from 385-410 rwhp depending on your bolt ons with the kenne bell chip which is pretty close to accurate. no need to spend over $500 on dynotuning. i was debating on either the procharger or kenne bell and went with kenne bell no regrets trust me.

Well, in contrast to the above reply, I have a Procharger P-1SC running 8psi, mild cams, and a dyno tune and Im putting down 403rwhp.

For the money and being able to stay out of boost, Id say get a vortech v2 - very reliable, cheap rebuilds, vortech gives a good chunk of change to upgrade 2. You can probably get it done for 3500 or less with new stuff.

The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte

I did my entire Vortech, V-2 installation including intercooler and dyno tune for $2700. I already had the fuel pump but that's it. You can get some really good deals on used stuff. It's not for everybody but sometimes you can get pretty lucky.

+1 for piecing together a used centrifugal supercharger kit. KB's are cool and fun and all but in a dig race the centri has a lot better chance of hooking up and would leave the KB.

Basically -> KB for fun
Centri for speed (which is pretty d*mn fun!)

ok it depends on what you're looking for Kenne Bell provides down low rpm power , well low-mid centrifugals provide mid- high. The end. Street car -KB Track car - Procharger/Vortech, a little of both? Vortech/Procharger.

vortec or procharger, you are still limited by the max power the stock block can hold so you arent going to get more power from either. i dont like kb's quality, they look cool, but thats about it. ive posted many time on here that everyone of my buds that had one on their lightnings has had problems w/ them. the bearings dont have a good oiling system. thats how everyone ive seen fail is due to. they also cost a lot more than the votect/prochargers too. for about 4k you can get either centri, 5k for the kb. that extra 1k you save you can use to get your car professionally dyno tuned to ensure trouble free ops.

I did KB and would never change that...I cant express what kinda differnce it made in the car...it REALLY moves. The kit was very well engineered and the tuning was great. Everything was included even the wire ties. And my car is making quite a bit over 400...enough power to trap at 118. I dont regret the KB kit at all..
