Default difference between v6 and v8

how can you tell the difference between a v6 and a v8, other than the sound, and are all gts v8???

yes all gt's are v8's and besides the sound i would have to say power. Why are you asking this question?

Do you mean like seeing one on the road? Well, dual exhaust, fog lights, different side scoops (for 01-04 at least), bumper cutouts for exhaust.

Oh and... GT BADGES.

Seriously, telling the difference only takes a few seconds of critical thinking, and the ability to read.

Open the hood, count the cylinders. 6 = V6 ; 8 = V8 = GT

That's the only TRUE way to tell. V6's can have dual exhaust and fog lights and those who don't know the sound can mistake a V6 for a V8.

well people can make their car look like a v8 so only way to tell is like derf says

I hate people that do that cause its retarted. Like when v6's make themselves look like cobras like thats retarted i think. idk

A v6 with duals def doesn't sound like a v8.
Like previously stated the easiest way is look for duals, exhaust cut outs, fog lights, etc... but the only way to tell for sure is to pop the hood.
