How much HP out of a 4.6 compared to a 5.0
Hey guys-
I am kind of new to the 4.6L motor in an SN-95 chassis. I wanted to know what kind of power I can get out of the motor with very basic mods. By basic mods I mean, only full exhaust, throttle body forward and some kind of tune. Absolutely zero internal motor or intake work. There are reasons why I cannot do any internal motor work but I wanted to know if a 4.6 motor would be better suited then to a 5.0. I am only looking to get around 300 hp so I don't think I am asking a lot, I was just wondering what motor would be easier to get the power out of that I am looking for.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you

go 5.0, Put a cam in the 5.0 very easy to do and very inexpensive, you can get a very nice cam for under $400, might wanna the full H/C/I in a 5.0 which will be cheaper than a 4.6 and with H/C/I + exhaust in a 5.0... im not sure how close you would actually be to 300 but stock they are rated at about the same as NPI 4.6L, however PI 4.6s are a bit quicker, in my book it goes like this
PI 4.6>5.0>NPI4.6
PI 4.6>5.0>NPI4.6
