Saying flaming river offers a quick ratio rack is a bit misleading.. because the ratio is the same as stock on our cars..

So if you get what they label as quick ratio its the same as stock....

Also I don't like their steering shafts.. being held by simple set screws...

So with that being said I'm a little more comfrtable with my welded steering shaft and stock rack with looped lines...

Well guys, I've put in a grand total of about 4 hours of work in this thing since November. I got the heads resurfaced from a local machine shop, as the car blew a head gasket on it's virgin pass. Just wanted to be safe. They look pretty nice. It went lean, and the belt was slipping on the water pump at high rpm. Two very stupid mistakes that I regret everyday. I should have been more attentive to what was going on.

I sold all the E85 stuff today I loved running it, I loved how cool the car ran, and it was unique. BUT, it was just another variable added to the mix that I really just didn't need. There are TONS of guys I race with that I would trust to help me with carb tuning, but everyone shy's away from E85. IT's not that difficult and I'll be back to it in the future. For now it's all good ole 110 leaded.

New cam and electric waterpump are in the works. Then all we have to do it put it back together. Sounds easy enough, but surely it won't be. lol. I PROMISE I will get some good vids this time around.

BoB, is your car a DD? If it is I think you'll quickly realize it's more of a PITA than anything. (Unless you live in Tx of course where the price is always low and seem to have only 2 seasonal grades.)

I'm not bashing it's places as a cheaper alternative to Leaded but with the need of 40% more fuel at WOT and 20% more at idle it's a ***** at the pumps. It's also very corrosive and will eat through standard hoses with a vengeance.

If you've already dealt with this and accepted it, disregard.

It's been awhile, and I haven't really done much with the car. But I did take it to the track Friday, and got some pics and a video. The car is still not tuned perfectly, but it won't be long til that's corrected and to the dyno for a couple pulls. Here's an easy pass, launching at 2200.
