Default Side Skirts quick ??

Im not sure this is the right place to post this but umm i just noticed today that the side skirts on my 35th anniversary 1999 mustang are different than the ones on my friends 1999 mustang. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if theres a name for them or whats different.

do you have any better pictures? from what I can see it looks like you're running the 2003-04 cobra side skirts, which are pretty damn expensive and hard to come by

actually, they look very similar to the 03 cobra sideskirts, but slightly different as well, I've never seen anything quite like them

Those are the standard 35th anniversary model panels. My brother has a '99/35th and they are the same...

In a quick pass through Brad Bowling's Mustang Field Guide just now it looks like maybe the '03 SVT Cobra had the same or similar panels.

Here's some other info about the 35th model from the Red Book...

35th Anniversary Special 4,628 produced

54Y 35th Anniversary Limited Edition

Black Applique between Tail Lamps,
Black/Silver Leather/Vinyl Front Seats w/Pony Logo,
Silver Leather Door Trim Inserts,
Silver/black Floor Mats w/35th Anniv. Logo,
Aluminum Shift ****(Manual Trans.)

A special 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Package was made available for the GT. It included 17” wheels, black applique trim, a black tape treatment on the hood and a special black/silver interior.

Yes that is the rocker panel and the skirts in this case would be called moldings. The difference is skirts would hang below the line of the car. Moldings are at the same level.

A corrola S is a good example they have side skirts to give the car a lowered look even though the ride height is the same.

I wasn't going top get into semantics, but since you brought it up they are indeed properly called rocker panel moldings.
