just bought the paint and painted the pipes with the first coat about an hour ago. used flat black barbeque grill paint. came out pretty sharp for one coat only. the paint is dry to the touch but will take about another two hours to fully dry. i dont know if this stuff can really be waxed, but as of now when i touch it it gets darker where i touched it for a few seconds until it evaporates so i guess its just not fully dry yet. some pics.

Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some f**kin' . . . muscle.
looks good man i like it, cant wait to see pics once u put them in the car
nice, thanks. i actually just ran up to the store and picked up some satin black outdoor paint to put on top of that stuff at least for the tips cause i realized the flat black gets all messed up the second you touch it no matter how dry it is. you either have to coat them in motor oil (messy and holds dirt) or clear coat so im gunna put this other krylon stuff on and see whats good with that

I might have to do this. Id want them a little glossy though.
i just put a new coat of satin on 5 minutes ago and all i can say is wow. looks way better than the pics above from before
the stuff i just used gave it a nice suede/satin look that i wanted. the first outcome was way too flat. at least it served as a high temp primer/basecoat.
looks so trick. . . .
